Angry just lazy?

Ok, I felt so bad about the size of my boys cage after seeing this site. So today I made them a cubes and shower curtain cage, 2x4, for my two boars. It even has a 2x1 upper level, at half a grid high, where the food bowels are. I put them in it expecting them to run laps and popcorn and all the things I read about. Instead they wandered around twice, then plopped down by the food bowels. I don't think they have moved much since then, other than to pull down the hay rack I had up. Are they just lazy? I felt so bad aobut the 40 inch by 18 inch cage they had before, and now with all the room they have they are staying in the small upper level that is smaller than the cage they had before. I want them to appreciate my hard work, LOL. Heck, if they are just going to sit there I could have kept them in the old cage. Although, they do seem to like being up high, I may even extend the upper level or add another level. What am I thinking, LOL.
