Help weird sound

My piggie was just eating his veggies and kind of made a ''Keeck'' chocking sound I looked at him at he was just eating his lettus. He continued eating his lettus and drinking some water. Then about 5 minutes later I heard it again, once again he was eating and drinking. Now hes acting normal hopping on his pigloo, and running around like always. Is he okay?

That just sounds like a cough.

Maybe he was choking because he started eating too fast?

They can make that sound if they eat too fast. Just be on the lookout if it starts occuring often. Also note changes in appetite, drinking, pooping or peeing. You should also weigh your pig regularly, as weight loss is often the first sign of illness.

Although since this occurred when he was eating he's most likely ok.

Yeah, we hear that from our piggies when they get greedy, it sounds like a really cute, high-pitched cough, right? As long as he doesn't do it more than once or twice, he's fine.

If that DOES happen, check him to see if you can see anything in his mouth.

From what you said though, he just coughed from eating too fast! Greedy little boy

one of my piggies did that as well. I asked the same question on here and was advised by someone in same position that she gave her piggie smaller portions of fruit and veggies 3 times daily rather than twice. I tried this and it did the trick. Seems some are just too excited about eating so quickly!

One of mine does that all the time when she's eating veggies. She gets greedy, eats too fast and it's a little choke/cough. She's right as rain afterward though.

Yup. My pigs do it too. At first I was alarmed, now I just tell them to slow down. They don't listen.

It took me like 3 days to figure out what that noise was. It was just so werid. But mine do it too when they chow down too fast.

We heard our pigs do that for the first time recently. My sweetie freaked out until I told her what it was (from reading threads on here!).

However, Jackson is making a weird sound. At first I thought it was the "squeaking while peeing", but I'm not sure. He was tested and had no bladder stones or infection.

It's not the high pitched "ow" sound, but more of a little pathetic squeaky sound...could be pain...could be annoyed...could be neither. I'll try to record it and put a link here.

Any ideas? Can any of you tell me what is does sound like when a pig has painful urination?
