Cue "Chariots of Fire" Theme ... I, yes, *I* have done it. I came, I saw, I went shopping at Target, I conquered. I have completed the first incarnation of my C&C cage, I have food and hay and water bottles and litter and fleece and pigloos and therefore my boys can come home tomorrow!!!! Finally I'd like to thank Ly and Voodoo and everybody who contributed suggestions. I still have to build an upper level, but I'll need to order more coroplast for that. I realized several things on my journey to get these young boars (and I'm sure I will realize several more!): 1. When they say measure twice, cut once, they really mean it. 2. Notwithstanding rule number 1, you can still cheat. 3. It does not really work to set the frame of a 3x6 on top of a sheet of coroplast, because the coro "box" helps the cage maintain its frame/shape. 4. The $4.88 fleece blanket from Walmart does not cover 3x6. 5. Ditto the $2.99 fleece blanket from Big Lots. 6. Ditto twin size mattress pads. 7. In light of 4,5, and 6, it is good to cultivate friendships with people who have a subscription to the Wall Street Journal. 8. 3x6 looks big until you put 4 water bottle brick combos, 4 hay rack and litter pan combos, and 2 giant pigloos in it. Now it looks dinky and there still aren't enough hiding places. 9. The night that you have triumphantly finished the first level is the time to bask in your success-not plan the second level. 10. 10:00 p.m. is too late to call the person you are getting your pigs from to try and pick them up that night. Tomorrow will, in fact, be soon enough. Squeee!!! Feels like Christmas. Sarah

Re: Cue "Chariots of Fire" Theme ... Sarah, first of all, you are very welcome. I probably should have told you that the 50"x60" fleece blankets weren't big enough to cover a 3x6, they do fit a 3x4 very nicely though. I will also tell you that you really won't need 4 separate hay rack/potty combinations. If you do 2 hay racks or build a loft just for hay then you will have more room for hidey houses. You don't have to have those big pigloos, you can use any number of things and make your own homemade hidey houses.

Re: Cue "Chariots of Fire" Theme ... Congrats Sarah, can't wait to see your masterpiece in your gallery. Now that you've finished your cage, you are now "officially at risk" for catching the constant cage-expansion/renovation bug.... Oh, trust me, the bug is going around, and you will definitely catch it!!! Momo
