You know whats weird?

Porky and Babe were my first 2 piggies. When I was younger (in highschool) my little sister had a ginea pig, but I didn't really pay much attention to it. Anyhow, like I said, Porky and Babe were my first 2. I got a call from my husband one night, asking if I thought I would like to have guinea pigs, because a guy he worked with had 2 and didnt want them anymore. I told him I'd think about it and we'd get back to the guy, having really no intention of getting them. I mean, I looove animals, but I figured I had enough, and also, I never really cared about guinea pigs. Seriously. When I went into pet stores, I would look at all the animals, but just kind of pass the piggies by becasue they were always hiding in pigloos and didn't seem very friendly. So when this guy offered me the girls, I was kind of like eeeehhhhh. But then I though, they need a good home, all animals do, and whats he gonna do with them if I don't take them? So I said yeah, and started looking online for info on piggies. Thats how I came to be here. I picked the girls up, and my first thought was "they aren't that attractive", which I know is mean, but I couldn't help it. Blunt faces, they're hair sticking up all over the place (abbys )But I liked them just the same. Whats funny though, is now I think they are the most georgeous girls EVER. My Guinea pig mind set totally changed. When I got them I totally planned on making them a C&C cage anyway, but now I just want to do EVERYTHING for them. I'm obsessed with guinea pigs now. It's just funnny how I went from not really caring, to being obsessed, within a couple of months.

Re: You know whats weird?

Believe me I understand. We got our first one when I had gone to the store to get my husband a hamster. They were giving away free pigs so I said what the heck and got it for him.I was not fond of the thing thought it would bite me and whatever. So then I found this site built him a huge cage and adopted 3 more. I am hooked now. I love those little guys.

Re: You know whats weird?

When I lived with my mom she told me that we were getting her friend's guinea pig because she was moving away. When I first saw her I was like 'This thing is BIG it's not going to be cuddly at all.' I learned to love her but I still missed my rats. Then we woke up and found BABIES. I screamed. They were SO adorable. I couldn't believe it. When I moved out, my boyfriend bought me one for my birthday... Chu Chu was the best present I ever had.
