New Here - pics of my pigs

Hey all, I am new here although I have been lurking around for a few weeks checking out all the cages and stuff, I registered today since I thought it was time to introduce my self and my pigs.
So my name is Laura, I live in England with my my 7 pets, 2 piggies, 4 rats and 1 cat, but since this is a cavy site I will focus on them.
I have two brother pigs, Harvey and Dylan.


This is Harvey, he likes to natter away and enjoys cuddles

This is Dylan, he is a little smaller and a lot more energetic, he doesn't really go in for the whole cuddles thing.










They are both 3 1/2 years old and they have lived with me sice they were 5 weeks old, I got them from a friend who's guinea pig had babies.
They are living in a renovated book case which measures at just over 8 sq feet running space, however I am building a second level tomorrow and am thinking of ways to expand lengthways aswell.
My piggles live in my bedroom, where they are also free to run around for at least 1-2 hours everyday when I get home from work. They are also litterbox trained for their weeing but they continue to poop everywhere, I am still chuffed with them though for not weeing on my carpet!
They also have veggies everyday I fill up their bowl in the evening with various veggies, but their favourites include carrots, broccoli and sweetcorn.
They also love crusty cobs which they munch and keep their teeth in check.
They have pellets twice a day - called excel, I believe this to be a good brand of quality pellet but please inform me if otherwise as I want what is best for my piggies.

Welcome to Cavy Cages! I'm Laura as well, and I'm English but living in Northern Ireland. Funnily enough, I also have 7 pets (althought they are 4 piggies, 2 dogs and 1 hamster)!

Harvey and Dylan are adorable! So cute. It sounds as though they have a lovely roomy cage, it would be interesting to see pictures of it.

You questioned the Burgess Supa Guinea Excel - it's pretty much the best plain pellet which is available in UK. I use it and I know a few other UK members do too.

Great that's good to know since they seem to be enjoying it, and it's not too pricey either.

Lol, it does actually have a top because my cat kept clambering in and lying with the pigs and I was worried that she was scaring them! It doesn't have a padlock, but I'll be sleeping with one eye open for a while, to watch for pignappers!
