Things seem to be going well.....

I just introduced my two 1-year-old sows, Ebony and Mocha, to my 2-year-old sows Cream and Pralene. Everything seems to be going fine, which is surprising! Cream is very selfish and hates to share. She is also very protective of her sister Pralene. Ebony was wheeting and hissing out of fear of Cream, and I was so sorry for the poor baby. I went back out there after an hour (I had the garage door open so that I could hear for any disturbances) and Ebony and Cream were curled up next to eachother in a cuddle cup, with Cream cleaning Ebony. It was so cute!

I'm glad to hear that things are going well. My girls took about a week to settle down and decide that they're going to let Angel be the queen piggie.

JennG, has got the timeline nailed down.
Worked out to be about the same amount of time with my boys too when I was introducing them to each other.

Always appreciate those updates, if you would?

Re: Things seem to be going well.....

It's going well, a little snapping from Cream. Ebony, the baby, is annoying Cream. She won't let any other pig in her cuddle cup, so the older piggies are getting annoyed. Nothing serious. I had to put 2 new foodbowles in because Mocha is hogging 2 of the old ones. So, now I have 6 foodbowles in a cage with 4 pigs!

Six food bowls for four cavies. That's pretty cute.

Hey, at least it is keeping the peace in the cage.
