Smile hi from Ireland ..!

Hi all,
well i'm very new to the guinea pig (cavy) owner world so i'm still a little nervous about a lot of things but i'm gettin there slowly but surely.
I'm currently looking into trying to build a bigger enclosure for my boys so if anyone has any helpful tips they would be gratefully received. There's not really a lot of things in the pet stores over here for guinea pigs so ingenuity is the name of the game.

looking forward to many years of pet piggy ownership....

Hello from Canada!
I've owned pigs for a few years now but there always seems to be something new to learn. I only just recently built a C&C cage and I love it. I highly reccomend building one and the good thing is, the supplies aren't from a pet store. You can find the coroplast at any art store and the cubes at any hardware store. It was really easy to make, it only took me one night to build and prepare it for my pig. I wouls suggest building a simple one first and if you like it you can always add on later with a second storey. If your pet store has commercial GP pellets then you can just buy those and supplement the diet with veggies like carrots, cucumbers, parsley and other greens. Good luck with your piggies!!

Hi Emily

Hi Emily,
Just got a chance to catch up on my mail now, thanks a million for all the info you sent on it's so helpful, at least i'll know where to start looking. I'm sure the boys will be delighted, they're getting so big now so they need a new home!! I'll go shopping this weekend and try my hand at some DIY home building(fingers crossed). I'll let you know how i get on...
