guinea pigs poo has gotten softer since I've gotten them I got two female cavies this week. I have very strong suspicions they are both pregnant. I don't think at the store they were fed a cup of vegetables per day. There poo was hard though. I have been feeding them vegetables since I've gotten them and there poo have been getting softer. I think it's because they lettuse I fed them had a little olive oil on it and humus. <--(sp?) It was only one day this was in their food. Would this do it? They did loved it though.

Re: guinea pigs poo has gotten softer since I've gotten them That was a week ago now and it's still soft. The olive oil and hummus I only did once.

Re: guinea pigs poo has gotten softer since I've gotten them When my boys are eating lots of fresh grass their poops are softer than in winter when they eat much more hay. So It could be the change in diet between what you feed and the store fed. As long as the poops are reasonably firm and reasonable size I wouldn't worry too much. If the poops are 'squishy' I would be worried.
