Piggies with the spike hair
I saw the other day a baby guinea pig with hair sticking up, this way and that....Will this type be a long hair guinea pig or is this a short hair with a bad hair day?

Well, there are several long-haired breeds, including: Shelties, Silkies, Peruvians, coronets, alpacas, texels and some others I've forgotten. Silkies/shelties have hair that flows back from the head, Peruvians have hair all over the place( I believe alpacas do too), coronets are like silkies but they have crowns on their foreheads, and texels are curly-haired long-haired guinea pigs.

There are also crosses. My Spinel is part abyssinian, part peruvian making him an abyruvian. He has longish hair that stick up all over the place:



His hair is longer in the back. It trails behind him.

looks just like Toffee except she's a little light in this picture due to the flash otherwise she's identical in color


I don't have any good pics of my other 2 abbies.
