Dominence & Humping Well Chip has been reasserting his dominence on Spud by humping him. This time he has left a lovely "deposit" on Spud's back! EEKK! Has anyone had this happen to them? and if so, how did you remove the "deposit"? I mangaged to remove the large lump but it's still quite a bit stuck to his fur...I even tried washing it off but it didnt work!! And if I was to cut it off, I would have to cut his fur off to skin level! HELP!

Re: Dominence & Humping Sounds like boar glue. Perfectly normal but very sticky, as you've now discovered! I can't remember what you use to get it off - there's a certain type of stuff which works wonders but I can't name it right now.

Re: Dominence & Humping Kleeneze do "sticky stuff remover" which would definitely shift it, but it isn't very nice stuff and you would have to thoroughly shampoo his bottom afterwards to make sure it's cleaned off before he tries to lick it. Had the same problem a couple of weeks ago when Jonny got a bit above himself - but I had FOUR separate bottoms to wash! They all had an ace time swimming in the bath together... To be honest, I'd just clip his fur!

Re: Dominence & Humping Guinea pig fur grows back pretty fast so I'd probably just clip it too. I never had that problem but I did have a problem with the boys mounting Mischief when I introduced them. Mischief was long haired so every day I was cleaning hair out from around or in boy parts.
