That is unbeleivably low. England has a big problem with dognapping right know but never have I heard of guineapignapping. Have you had any suspicious looking sales men recently? |

I can't believe anyone would do something so low, Salstar. I hope your kids turn up. Going door to door crinkling bags sounds like an awesome idea! *sending mean thoughts to the creeps that did this* |

OMG No... I'm from the rescue that sold Safari This makes me feel really bad poor Safari I only sold him a few weeks ago and rescued him from a petshop at 1 week old he was underweight and in an overcrowded cage...I thought your cages were inside the house? You know what. If this was me in your situation I would be knocking on every single door in my neighbourhood and the streets surrounding. Or even sneaking in backyards down my road ( yuh ok I'm that type of person that does extreme things when need be )... Secondly I'd be printing out posters right now and putting them on every pole in the neighbourhood...it may have been someone's " child " that stole them and if they see the posters they'll know they arn't their kids pigs! If it wasn't a child...well hey atleast the people may feel incredibly guilty for what they've done ( if they are local ). It would be incredibly odd for someone to just walk up to your house and steal piggies without knowing you, or without living closeby and seeing the pigs somehow...so wouldn't surprise me if they are still in the neighbourhood. Do you have snakes in your area??? The bars on Grid cages could be wide enough for a small snake yo fit through??? Your 100% positive a cat didn't get in and get them? Want me to pop round I'll personally knock on doors myself ??? ( have done a few backyard rescues ) *~jess~* |

Actually...was just thinking....I can be very confronting when I'm angry so I'm more than happy to knock on doors with you hehe....if they got your pigs they'll have to deal with Jess ( not a nice thought To be honest I wanted to check out that petshop at wynnum soon anyhow ( was told the other day by anohter lady of how there pigs are kept ) so will be over your way sometime soon... It would make sense that a small child may have taken them...hence why the top two are still left?... *~jess~* |

Well what a day it has been! I started typing a message earlier this morning but the computer I am using keeps on crashing, so here goes. Ive spent most of the day walking the streets with a plastic bag as Susan W suggested. Most people were really nice and said they would keep an eye and ear out for me. I also visited about 8 pet stores and gave them a description. And every pet store said the same thing. That they have most likely been taken for snake food. They all said they have been getting an increasing number of people coming in buying mice, rats and guinea pigs to feed to their snakes and they said it is very hard to do anything about because they can't prove that that is what the animals are being bought for. Also the computer I am using is my flat mates and it has been crashing uncontrollably. While I was out today he had the computer reformated and didnt save my stuff to another harddrive so I've lost everything from assignments to pictures of my boys. On a side note: Jess I had a chat to the lady at the Pet store at Wynnum. She currently has 5 adult pigs, 3 females and 2 males. She has the males and 2 of the females paired up at the moment and the other female is by itself. She is waiting to see if they are pregnant and they certinally look large. The female on its own has overgrown nails. She said that this will be their last pregnancy and then she is going to get babies through a breeder rather then breed herself. I am guessing here but the cage intotal is about the length of a 2 by 4 C&C cage, however it is then split up in to 3 compartments. She said she bathed them last night and if thats the case, then why didnt she trim their nails? I wasnt in the mood to give her a gobfull, I'll leave that to you Jess. And then to top things off (yes there is more)!! When I got home my other flat mate had a suprise for me, yes another guinea pig and a 4week old one at that. I obviously wasn't looking a getting any more at the present moment but I will keep him as I can give him a loving home. He meant well and good but I wish he had asked me first. The poor little fellow is covered in lice which I have treated him for and he is so so tiny he only weighs 270 grams! So thats my day. |

Wow, very eventful. I really hope someone spots them. That must be an absolute nightmare to go through. Congrats on the new piggies though! Have you thought of names? |
