Is this grass safe for piggies?

http://www.petplanet.co.uk/product.a...165&pf_id=5330

I found it and thought "Great!" but I just wanted to be sure that it would be OK for piggies before I buy it.

Re: Is this grass safe for piggies?

Is it just normal grass seed? I would suppose so, just make sure it doesn't have any chemicals in it or anything.

Re: Is this grass safe for piggies?

I gor the same grass for my brithday (well, it seemed allmost like it was cavyday, anyway). It is very nice stuff, it grows very fast, and you gan get 7-8 full portions out of it before the seeds stop to grow. There are different seeds in it, so that not all seeds grow at the same time.

The only problem I experience with it now, is that when I watered it last time, there were very tiny little colourless flies flying away from it. I immediately but it outside the house and I am planning to throw it away (it doesn't grow that much anymore anyway). I don't think the flies came from the grass, but I don't know for sure. It was very nice the as long as it lasted, and my cavies loved it.

Hope I didn't colour your oppinoin too much. The fly thing was a bit strange, butthat was probably coincidence.
