Cardboard Alternative
Hi! I own a C&C cage for one of my guinea pigs, and am trying to find the materials for another one for my other guinea pig! Coroplast is expensive and difficult to find in my area, so I was wondering if cardboard (such as a large tv or refrigerator box) would work just as well? Thanks!

Re: Cardboard Alternative
The problem with cardboard would be that any pee that manages to soak through the bedding would end up soaking the base, and then it would be gross. I think cardboard would work if you covered it with a shower curtain or something else made of plastic that the pigs couldn't get to to chew.

Re: Cardboard Alternative
Call this place. Many people buy 4x8 ft sheet from them for $10 - $20 per sheet.
SABIC Polymershapes, Branch Locator
Here's the Home Depot link for coroplast (they don't call it coroplast).
