| Is the 14 inch height safe enough ? I'd like to ask if the 14 inch height of a cube enough ? Won't the cavy be able to jump up over it ? Shouldn't it be something like 19 inches and above ? |

| Re: Is the 14 inch height safe enough ? With all of the cavies I've had here at the rescue, I've never had a problem. They are not known for being overly ambitious about escaping. In fact, I have some right now in just the 6" Coroplast base with an inch or so of carefresh. They've been there for a few days now, no grids at all (except two on the corner for the water bottle), and haven't ventured out, although, I know they can if they want to. If you had a very unusually cavy with a big jumping personality, you might want to add a level or a top, but I haven't heard of anyone having a problem. |
