Do cozies smell bad?

I was think ing of making cozies, but does the pee smell stay in the fiber fill?

Also, which is better foam or fill?

I've never had a problem with smelly cozies. I wash mine every 1-2 days depending on how often they are used. I think I've heard that foam can harvest bacteria, but I may be wrong! I always use batting when I make cozies.

I agree.......I wouldn't use foam either.

I have no problem with smelly cozies......and I know beyond a doubt that they occasionally use it for the bathroom. Not often, but they practically live in them and if anything in the cage smells, it would be likely to be a cozy. The cozies need to be changed more often than the cage liners. I change cozies and pads (in high traffic areas) about every three days.
