Question Made a cubes cages and now shes eating the cardboard...

I made a cage out of the cubes, but used a blanket where her toys are and where her food, water, house, and litter box there is cardboard on top of a towel with some bedding in it. But she is eating the cardboard on the sides, How do i get her to stop?

Also, when i first put her in there she was running in like a figure 8 back and forth thru the cage, was this good? bad? I thought maybe she was scared and excited..

Also, She poops in her food dish? Why?? Should i buy one that hooks to the cage?

And one more, if i bought another female, would it be more messy for me and cost more money to care for in general with food, etc? THANKS!

Buying another female isn't good, that promotes breeding, however adopting another female is a great choice, and will give your pig a much better life, though it may raise the cost and such by a bit, nothing beats the fact that you are giving your pig a great life.

All guinea pigs get poop in their food dishes, nothing to worry about, you don't need a new bowl.

When guinea pigs do laps around the cage it just means they are happy, and love the run of a big cage! Doesn't mean they are scared, it's nothing to worry about, in fact you should be happy that she loves her new cage! They also do a thing called "Pop corning" When they are happy, where they will pop up in the air a little bit.

I'd take the cardboard out, I don't exactly get what you are using it for, however the glues and such in it are toxic for guinea pigs.

Im using the cardboard as a place for her to use the bathroom, because i can easily take the cardboard with the bedding out and then replace it. its easy for me. but she stopped chewing it now, i put a stuffed animal there and now shes sleeping next to it

Make sure it isn't a beanie baby that she could get into easily.

Also, you are going to see that cardboard isn't best to use for a litter box. Which is true-- I would either purchase a new litter box or remove it totally.
