I am loving all of the cage pictures. I just adopted 2 female piggies 2 days ago and found out that one is pregnant. They were in a store bought cage and when I started to get the feeling one of my girls was pregnant I began doing research and found out so much that I did not know.
When my mom made my cage she put two sheets of coroplast together. I don't know much about pine shavings ,but I don't think they're good for the guinea pig's feet.I hope all goes well with you pregnant guinea pig.

I am getting ready to build my first cage. I am waiting on the coroplast from a friend that makes signs and is giving it to me for free. Unfortunately she only has it in 24" x 36" pieces. Is it going to be ok to piece it together. Do you guys thing it would be ok to use duct tape to piece the coroplast? As long and its underneath maybe? Also I notice almost everyone uses fleece. I bought pine chips which I read are fine for them. Obviously pine chips are messy. Is fleece the best thing? Do you guys feel pine chips are bad for them? Sorry I just have to many questions because I want to build them a good home.
The cages are awesome. I will post photos when I finish mine.
