    upside down cage outside?

The weather is so gorgeous--I'd like to take Rosie out for her first outdoor time.

I was thinking: could I just take the coroplast out, turn her cage upside down, put it on the grass, and let her run around underneath it? I'd still keep an eye on her, of course, but then at least I wouldn't be worried about some giant bird swooping down on her or anything.

    Thoughts?

Do you have snakes in your area? If you do they could go right thru or under the grids. What about dogs or other type preditor animals? Are you going to sit right next to her cage the whole time? That to me is the only way to be sure she is safe, if you are right there the whole time.

Not too many snakes around here--I'm in the middle of the city. But of course I'll be with her the whole time. I'm really just asking if the cage would work as an enclosure. I see that others use grids as an outdoor playpen, so I thought perhaps her actual cage would be just as easy.

You could try it. If it is a straight cage with no levels this might work. You will have to let us know how it works.
