For toys, don't paint them. They will chew on the paint.
So there is no way to make them look pretty with it being wood....
So how do they get the wood to be colors like this

Don't paint them, guineas like plain an simple, color would only be visual for us
@ally112087 Those are called Tropical Fiddle Sticks and they come that way. I think they can be bought at pet stores.
I thought guinea pigs could see color due to them being herbivores, and the colors would be stimulating for them. Perhaps I've been misinformed.
Fiddlesticks are dyed, and wonder if instead someone could recommend a safe and natural wood stain. We're dying our Easter eggs with turmeric and fruit juices this year, I wonder if that is piggie safe?
I was thinking trying that or try food color.......
There are ways to make dyes out of food juices
Beets for red
Spinach for green
Yellow onion skins for yellow.
I think that's about it tbh, I don't know any natural "Blue" dye...
Food coloring should be okay to use. Just not real paint, even the non-toxic ones.
sorry my reply reads wrongly, i didn't mean that piggies couldn't see colour or be stimulated by it. What ever interests them is great as long has its safe.
