Garage safe for piggy play pen?

I'm practically bouncing off the walls in excitement at the thought of my new idea.
Dad cleaned out the garage yesterday, and I went out this morning. There is a huge open space in the entire center of the main portion of the garage if that makes sense). It's about the size of my living room and bedroom put together, and our house really isn't that tiny .

Question is- could I set up a piggy floor time out there out of grids and zipties? After my last outdoor experience I'd rather not have my pig out in the open yard, especially with all the bugs/hawks and the possibility of my neighbor trying to hurt/scare the pig .

My garage has about a foot thick walls, and it's not... uh, icky like most garages (for lack of better word). It's been painted, has about seven windows in all, and it's quite nice if you're not going to be out there all that long. I would never house pets in there obviously.
Also, the door is shut most of the time and therefore the garage stays nice and cozy even in winter. Obviously it'd be too cold then but for chilly mornings like today- it's 63' out atm- it's probably six or seven degrees warmer in there as I checked it just a few moments ago. And same goes for hot weather- it keeps the garage cool especially as there's a nice big ceiling fan in the center and the windows are usually open.

We don't keep the car in there very often at all, but if we do, it's in the other half of the garage which is walled off from the main area by a door that's never been opened in probably ten years . There are boxes stacked in front of it actually. We have to go around to the other side to get in there, so car fumes aren't a problem. And like I said we don't really keep the car there anymore.

    What do you think?

Well, some things to consider. Will you be able to be with the pigs at all times? You never know with garages, if a neighbor's cat has found a way in, if mice or rats might be able to get in the pig's cage. Also, be very sure the temps are not too extreme from in the house. You'd not want to take the pigs from a 70 degree house to a 60 degree garage, for instance.

We recently moved our cage to the garage. We never use it for cars, and it's a finished garage. I also. keep a thermometer right above Their cage. It's been so much easier to keep clean and get them
    Out to play.

Apparently it's a no go because my mom told me that Dad laid out rat poison because he found a few dead mice. There's none in the area where the pen would be but I'm not taking any chances.

Oh no !! Please don't even consider putting the guinea pigs out there. Rats and mice can carry that poison around and drop it in the cage.
