    Coroplast is hard to find.

I can't seem to find a store that sells this. I've tried Home Depot, but they don't have it.

Are there any alternatives I can use as the floor to my C&C cage or do you know any retailers which will sell this in dimensions I need?

    Thank you.

I've heard of people using linoleum and shower curtains for their bases. Have you tried contacting a few local sign stores?

Re: Coroplast is hard to find.

I called a sign shop near me and the guy acted like I was prank calling him or something and hung up on me.
I ended up going to coroplast.com on the site they have a distributers section and I was able to find one about 30 min from home. The guy told me I was getting a great deal buying straight from the warehouse the way I did. A white piece was $12 or $14 dollars and a colored piece was $14 or $16.. I don't know why I can't remember how much I paid just a month ago! I do remember the colored was $2 more! Hopefully they have a distributer near you!

if you post your location maybe there will be people on here in that area that could suggest stores...

Have you tried printing shops? They usually print coroplast signs. I get all my coroplast from the local print shop here in town.

I just opened the yellow pages to "signs" and started making calls. About half of them sold it but the prices varied greatly from $17 to $32 for white 4ftx8ft sheet. Not sure why there is such a big price difference.
I couldn't find it at any of the hardware store.

You can also call your local real estate office and ask where they get their signs made.

If you tell them that its for a guinea pig cage then they wont think that you are the competitor trying to make money off of them... They'll take the price down in some cases.

I order mine from Sue at guineapigzone.com. Shipping is a bit expensive, but nothing like receiving precision pre-cut bases to grid size in 4 business days (CT to CA)!

Coroplast can be found for around $10 at this place: SABIC Polymershapes, Branch Locator

If there's a place near you, you can call ahead and have them set aside a sheet of coroplast. They will even cute it to your cage dimensions, too! If your cage is a 2x4, be sure you're not saying 28" x 56" - you have to add a few inches (I do 6") to both the length and width if you want a 3-inch wall all around the cage. Each grid is 14" square, by the way.

    Good luck!
