So I was planning on building a C&C cage when I got my piggie last month and couldn't find any Coroplast where I live (the middle of no where in some peoples' opinions). Well, I bought him a cage that is on Amazon. It's the largest non C&C cage I could find and its the recommended minimum for one pig, so I bought it. Shortly thereafter I realized that I had all the stuff to make a C&C cage at my house.
My boyfriend had the grids because he used them for a bookshelf in his college dorm room last year. He didn't take them back with him because he didn't have the room this year. So I had grids in my outbuilding about twelve feet from a stack of Coroplast.
Now to the FREE part. =] My dad owns a small grocery store and has signs that are always going out of date due to sales and changes in the product, so sometimes he brings these home (in my defense, I didn't know he brought them home...) so he pointed out to me when I was jabbering about wanting to build a C&C that there is Coroplast in the back building and plenty more at the store that is just piled up in the back. So I made a C&C for free! Yay!
So if you're in the middle of no where like me, or just want free Coroplast, I'd go to some local gas stations, grocery stores, etc and just ask them if they have any old signs in the back. Be prepared for them to have pictures on one, maybe both sides, which is only obvious if you're using them on the walls, but still something to keep in mine. I have Pepsi, Copenhagen, Skoal, etc. Overall not a bad deal though!
