Using A Container In The Loft

My C and C cage has an upper level, and both ends of the cage are 2x1. I want to put one of those clear plastic containers in the space, but is that safe? Would they chew it or is there a possibility it could fall out? If its not safe, what would be another alternative? I want the ends to be like one giant hidey for them.

You can put a piece of fabric on top instead. With clips so it's easy to remove. I did that before I changed the top 2x1 to be a kitchen. Now the tent is used in a corner of bottom floor. Piggy loves it!
In the kitchen I use a plastic tub under the hay rack as a litter, not as a hidey.
Not sure to picture how you would put it.
