How to make floor time more fun?
When my guinea pigs are let out for floor time they just sit there. I try to let them get out as much as posible but all they do is run under their box and hide or lay down in the corner. At first I thought they were just scared but I have put them out for floor time every day for 5 months! I want them to get more excersise but how can i if they dont do anything?

Try hiding veggies in various places around their floor time space, putting them in paper bags, etc. for them to find. It'll give them something to do and help them get some exercise.

•Give them their veggies during floor time. Put the bowl in the middle of the floor so they have to venture out of their hideys to grab their food.
•Do you have grids around their floor time area? I used to just be right there watching them so I didn't think I needed grids around the floor time area, but I tried putting up grids recently, and my pigs really explored at lot more. I think it seemed more like their cage.
•Try putting a paper bag filled with hay in the floor time area. They might like floor time more if they have fun things to do.
•Have you tried the hanging parsley/cilantro activity? My pigs love this!! Look at this thread: http://www.guineapigcages.com/forum/...-activity.html
•Like Paula said, scattering food around is fun. Try cutting up some of their favorite "treat" foods, and let them go find it!

sometime my piggies do that, so we went out and bought a medium sized purple tube, and they love it! we also put out a little woden den for them to run underneath and we put out some kinder egg suprise toy holder the love to nudge them around!! so try some of those ideas.
