I think something is wrong with my guinea pig!

Hell everyone! I just got my Guinea about 2 weeks ago and this is the first one i have ever had. First i have a question should i have him in a room with the light on all the time? In response to that question for now i just turn the light off when i go to bed because he is in my room. Then shortly after i do this he starts to jump up and down and sprint around in circles and twitch and things like that. It seems like something is wrong. Is this normal? Please respond THANK YOU!!::

guinea pigs generally sleep during the day and are up on and off during the night. When we go to sleep we give cujo some lettuce and give him his box and he is in and out of it all night long. During the day he naps and eats off and on too. I'm sure that your gp is fine. Educate yourself as much as you can about guinea pigs. There is alot of info on the internet. You will get lots of love and affection from yours as long as you keep it healthy and give it lots of attention.

something wrong

How old is your pig. When mine was young about 4 months old he was very active. He would jump so high and make funny noises just because. Now he is a year old and has settled down. Give your pig time to ajust.
