C&C: Pet Store Selling C&C Style Cages

I supose we can't say if you got it at a pet store it's wrong now. My local higher end pet store is now selling Mid West cages which are C&C like with a canvas liner for a bottom. The smallest one they carry is 7.8 sq feet on the interior and they get larger from there. Apparently once they get rid of all their smaller cages (though theirs are all larger then most pet store cages to begin with) that's all they'll be carrying besides hutches (unfortunitely). They also retail the Midwest cages at lower price (69.99) then the average pet store cage to encourage people to get them.

Midwest's motto is apparently "Bigger is Better". I'm THRILLED to see them getting into the retail market and for a higher end store to actually promote a higher standard then their big box competators.

(Their square footage is off a bit per pig but still FAR better then any other recommendation I've ever seen in the retail market: Guinea Habitat )

There have already been threads about this style cage and it is acceptable. There are some negatives about it, but overall it's very good for a purchased cage.

That is wonderful and exciting. Baby steps. Soon C&C will be the only "norm" that people know of. The worlds-a-changing! Rejoice!
