Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0 So in my new cage design I have come across a "design flaw" .... I need to come up with a different ramp set-up because the slope running from the top level to the bottom would be too steep (I think?). My cage has a 3x6 base and the ramp attaches to a 1x2 2nd level. I guess what I'm asking is ... is a 24" inch ramp connecting to a 14" inch high grid too steep for my piggies? Should I try to design a condensed version with a landing? |

Yes, that sounds too steep. I would make a longer ramp if possible. Make sure it has sides and a good grip. |

I think 28"-30" long would be better. |

I have found that my piggies like ramps that are angled in a way that for every grid the ramp goes down, use 1 1/2 grids of length, so to go down 14" make the ramp 21" long. Works for me |

I can't edit my post above, but I misspoke. Actually I go 3 grids long for every 1 grid down, so for a drop of 14" my ramp would be 42" long not 21". |
