Upper Levels Cage redesign...opinions please! - Guinea Pig Cages, Care, Store, Photos of Guinea Pigs and More Forum!

I currently have a 2 x 4 for my 2 pigs and decided to try adding on a 2nd story. Below is a picture of what I have so far (excuse the mess, I have it stashed in my basement for now). I still have to make the ramp, which will go on the left side where that white flap is sticking out. I'm thinking of making that 2 x 1 area on the left the kitchen and either stuffing it with hay or mounting a hay rack to the wall with litter on the floor in hopes of preventing hay getting tracked all over. The 1 x 1 area on the right will be for a hiddie or something. Thoughts? Opinions? Suggestions? I'm open to it all, this is my first time trying out a 2nd level

It looks interesting, definitely a different shape...

I thought you meant that was going to be to bottom level and I was about to say "keep the 2 x 4 and forget that" but yeah that looks great!

I've had something similar to this. My pigs don't do well with the "cat walk". One of them likes to sit there and block the other from getting in and out of the 1x1 area.

It looks similiar to my cage and my girls adore it! they run laps up the ramp and across the catwalk. You can see my pictures in the photo section or on my page.
