I measured the guinea pigs's cage today, the long side is 38" and the short is 20". I'm no good with measurements and have no idea what this is in feet. Just wanted to know whether the cage is big enough? They seem content enough but I don't want them living in a cage that's too small for them. Oh yeah, I have 2 guinea pigs. Is the cage suitable for two? |

No, that is not a suitable size for two pigs. Consider making a C&C cage. Go on the main page of this site to see the minimum sizes. |

Well, considering most grids are 12-14" (mine are 14" but I think most people have 12" grids on this site), that should equal to about 3 grids by 1.5 grids. A rough guess size, considering you can't really cut grids in half to use as a side. But if you're using this size, I would say it is NOT suitable. The home page gives a size chart, both in inches and by grids. 30" x 50" is the minimum for 2 pigs. So sorry to say, but you are way off. |

If you are confused by 2x3 cage size expression, it means that the cage is 2x3 grids, not feet. And to the Original Poster, that cage does not meet the minnimum requirements for two guinea pigs, let alone one. |
