Zip ties

I'm building a cage what if my pig chew on the zip tie's

Re: Zip ties

Make sure that the collars (that you feed the ties through to tighten) are on the outside of the cage. When you pull the zip tie tight, it is too close the the grid for the to get their mouths on. In all the time that mine have been in their C&C cage, they have never chewed the ties.

Re: Zip ties

Most likely if your pigs are well exercised and entertained as they should be, they won't bother with the zip ties. You can also cut off the excess after they are tightened.

Make sure to give them unlimited hay 24/7. They will likely not chew on zip ties (or other things) if they have unlimited hay.
