Most wall sockets are 12" off the floor. If you build a stand for the cage, you can have 2x4 grids and leave some space in the stand open in front of the socket so you can access the socket. You can use grids to build stand or a coffee table. If you plug in extension cord to the socket, you won't have to access it that often. |

I would suggest, since you don't use your dresser, not necessarily getting rid of it but moving it to another room if you can and then creating a C&C cage that functions as a dresser/bookshelf and a cage. I have storage under my cage. A pic is below. You can make it taller with a few more cubby holes that you can put books in, clothes, piggy stuff etc, and then you won't even need your bookshelf. Then, from the cage down, you can drape a curtain material, one that goes well with your room. In a way it's like organizing your whole room while having piggies on top. I also have the minimum 2x3 on the bottom but I combat this by having a hay loft and food loft on top so that the bottom is for running and play while the top is for eating (plus they get some extra exercise which my Pearl needs, she's lazy) and I made a "free range" setup that still keeps them contained that I can tuck away when I need it to be or pull it out when it's time for play. Such as when you are at school you can have extra "free range" set up that way on the days you couldn't take them out as long are still covered. If you look at my profile I have a pic album with how I did it though they aren't in order (sorry about that). Anywho, lmk if any of this is an option. You could also tell your dad it would help you be more organized I tried to take this w/o my daughter in it but she wouldn't move no matter what. |

instead of getting a smaller dresser why not get more grids and use those as your dresser then you can make it as big as you want. |

I can't get a bigger cage because my parents simply won't let me. 2x3 is the minimum for 2 pigs to be happy and if that isn't right then the chart on the front page really should be changed. |
