3x3 or 2x4?

Winter is coming and so it's time to move the boys to a warmer spot in the house. I'm going to keep their pen that's down stairs in the living room but build a second one up in the upstairs room we use as a tv room as we spend a lot more time there in the winter once it starts to cool off.

I have several options space wise at least and am trying to decide if a 3x3 grid cage would be better then a 2 x 4? Any experience?

Re: 3x3 or 2x4?

A 3x3 would be one square grid larger than a 2x4 thus providing a small bit of extra space.

That's what I was thinking. 2x4 lets them get further away from eachother but 3x3 gives them more over all space to avoid eachother. At the moment we don't have any squabbling at all but more space = better.
