Re: New cage!

cute cage! One thing I have learned with building these c & c cages they are constantly being changed. So don't think you are crazy when you keep changing the cage. I changed mine about 5 times and I still have not adopting my boys yet!
It is fun!

Re: New cage!

Nice! I would use a few more zip ties, the side against the wall looks a little rickety...

I had a zoo zone in the 90s. NEVER. AGAIN.

Talking Re: New cage!

You know, it looks like you might have just enough room.... FOR ONE MORE GRID (muwahahahaha!!!!!)

I'm only joking. It looks great! Your piggies will love it, I'm sure! Another couple of hideys would be good to ensure piggy peace, such as wood log arches or bent grids covered in fleece.

Your cage looks great!
Where did you get that cute hidey hut?
Is there an online store in Canada I can order those from?

Re: New cage!

Oh I live in Canada, those hideys are at Zellers, Petsmart, PJ's Pets (I hate that store though) and some small pet food stores (such as Canadian Pet Connection). They're about $10 CAN.

Re: New cage!

No, not in Canada. But I love how modern those houses look! It seems like the stuff in the US here (as far as hideys) looks so boring.

Re: New cage!

Great cage! The photo may be deceiving, but the one side looks as if it is ever so slightly hanging off the table. If the pigs jump up on the side of the cage, that would concern me that they may fall or make the cage unsteady. I do think you did a great job, however. I spent hours and hours trying to perfect my girls' cage and it sure wasn't easy!

Re: New cage!

I see that you have the top of the grids ziptied and the lower portions held together with the grid connectors? Any particular reason you chose that? I think it just makes the grids look "uneven" sorta from top to bottom. The cage looks great by the way, just a suggestion, the zip ties I think are the way to go without the connectors at all. And in the back it looks like the grids are uneven too, maybe because you ziptied them directly side to side, instead try like corner to corner, like a sideways ziptie kinda thing and it will hold it even and not slip up and down, hope that's not confusing. Hard to explain. I could shoot you a photo of a close-up of the way my hubby did ours in case you/like me couldn't understand that description!

Love the fleece also, I've been looking for some pawprint fleece and can't find it anywhere!!! Lucky pigs, lucky pigs!!!
