Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0 Question about my cage...? | | Hello!! =) I just joined this forum because I saw how good the idea of the C&C cages are and I have a question about the one I made. I just made my cage last night. My piggies aren't in it yet because I wasn't too sure on if what I did was a good idea or not. Instead of using the typical coroplast for the bottom of the cage, I actually used a sheet of thin plastic, (the kind you get in rolls) and layed it out on the floor to protect the carpet. I put a few layers of regular bath towells to absorb their messes, and on top of that I put an old fleece blanket (I read that fleece is one of the best kinds of bedding you can use). And of course I have the cubes arranged in a 3x4 rectangle around the blanket.
I plan on washing the towells and fleece once or twice a week, depending on how messy they get, and probably spraying the plastic liner with a hose and reusing it. So my question is, has anyone done it this way? Should I use a new sheet of plastic every time I wash the linens? I can take a picture if you would like so you can see what it looks like. |
