The best layout and the easiest to clean

Well.. pretty much looking for the best cage layout for my boy that would make him happy, because their happiness is #1 priority however... I need something that is easy to clean, I was guessing that a 4X2 would be suitable along with being the easiest to clean on my part. And I was going to put this ontop of a table so they wouldn't be sitting on the floor --also it's difficult to get on the floor to clean out the cage if something gets knocked behind the cage it's easier to get to.
I want you opinions on this topis are there any set-ups that are the best for the pigs and for cleaning?

Re: The best layout and the easiest to clean

In my opinion, anything that has an open top is going to be easier to clean than a closed cage. Since you're planning to elevate the cage, I think that'll help a lot for cage cleanings.

A 2x4 should be fine for two boys, but of course, bigger is always better.

Re: The best layout and the easiest to clean

I found that having a longer, narrower cage is easier for cleaning (bending/reaching) than a wide and not as long cage (2x4 instead of 3x4) My access points are a little hard to get to (right next to the couch, I have to hop a little and slide between the cage and the couch), and having 3 sides of the cage accessible would be more ideal.

Re: The best layout and the easiest to clean

This is the best for cleaning in my opinion - the piggy bedspreads, and is more hygeinic. (if you can afford it I think its awesome)

I dont have one yet but want to get one soon, has very good reviews by people who use them on this forum ;-)
