Re: new cage!!!

If you mean one more grid as in you would either make the 2x2 a 2x3 or the 2x3 a 2x4, then yes, I think thats a good idea. I'm guessing that you have 2 boys, correct? Because of them being males, the minamun of 2x3 for 2 pigs is a big small, so more space would be better, but I am very happy that they are enjoying themselves and seem happy!

Re: new cage!!!

Yeah a 2X2 is small for one pig, much less two. I would go at least 2X4 for two pigs, even with a lofted level.

Re: new cage!!!

Upper/lower levels do not count towards overall square footage. Boars get territorial so the main level needs to be at least 2x4 or larger.

Please also read this post http://www.guineapigcages.com/forum/...questions.html, it will tell you the appropriate areas to post your questions instead of putting them all in About Guinea Pigs where either I or another mod have to spend time moving them.

Re: new cage!!!

Good job making a CC cage, you're off to a good start.
Sadly...males do tend to fight if they do not have the proper space.
So...you need to make it at least a 2x4 or 2x5 on the bottom to ensure they continue to get along.
