Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0 Hi! I have been reading about the c&c cages, and am very excited on building one very soon. I just need to know how to make the bottom of the cage.... how do you connect the coroplast to itsself at the corners? Do you have several pieces or do you score and bend it? The grids are simple and easy to understaind.. but wasn't sure about the coroplast itsself. Thanks for your help! I hope to upload some pics of our piggies and the new cage soon!!!! |

Have you read the sites how to build guide? It has pictures on how to score, cut, fold and tape the coroplast. You don't connect it to the grids at all. You basically make a box or tray out of the coroplast and then set it in the cage that is made out of grids. |

If you have ever made a box in school you can do the coroplast with ease. My corners are attached with industrial strength double-sided tape (used for taping down carpet, etc.) The coroplast is one piece scored. Just make sure when you "pop" the sides, the scored side of the coroplast faces out. Good luck, check the How To on the "Home" tab, and have fun creating a wonderful space for your piggies. |

My only suggestion if you are not good at geometry (like me!), is to make a box out of paper first so you can see how and where to cut! That and well... measure twice, cut once |

Thanks for the replies all! I finally found the info i needed... . I wasn't sure what exactly to do, but I got it now. Any suggestions on the best thing to use to secure the flaps? Double sided tape, or would it be ok to use glue? |

Oooo I found those black clips (for clipping together a stack of papers...) work fantastic. And if you do ever have to take apart the coro to clean the corners or to make a new cage or what ever its super easy. Good luck!!! Allow plenty of time to make the cage, the first time is always the hardest! |

I found clear packaging tape to be the easiest. I just taped the outside of the flap down. |

I hate tape, so I use a special non-toxic hot glue for gluing polyethylene and polypropylene plastics together. It holds very strongly and you don't see any tape on the outside. They aren't anymore expensive than a regular package of glue sticks. |
