Coroplast question?

I found coroplast but mostly every one use 4mm thick is that equivelant to 1/4 inch thick?

Is 1/4 inch thick okay to use for the bottom of the cage?

Would 1 4ft x 8ft sheet cover a 3 x 6 bottom plus sides?

Re: Coroplast question?

You can use any thickness coroplast. 4mm is equal to about 0.15 inches. (Try google for this next time--there are tons of online conversion calculators.)

A 4x8 ft sheet will cover the base of a 3x6 cage, but it is not enough for sides. You can tape coroplast together though. I suggest you convert your grid measurements to inches (1 grid = 14 inches) and draw out your plan.

Re: Coroplast question?

No, I don't think 4x8 is big enough, at least not for the 6" sides, and you probably don't want to use bigger than 1/4".

Re: Coroplast question?

I tried the heavier (10 mm, I think) coroplast the first time and went to the 4mm. The heavier stuff is a bear to work with and does not do a better job. The 4mm is also ALOT cheaper (like $40 US to $14 US dollars). The 4mm is plenty sturdy enough for the C&C cages.
