Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0
I can't find safe cubes but did see an excercise pen at the pet store. would this be okay to use? I also can't afford coroplast at the moment so we'll be using chipboard covered in linoleum as we have that here already. Unless someone here has another suggestion? Thanks- Amanda |

The linoleum sounds like a great idea. If you shop around you can find coroplast for a decent price, just some places try to rip people off. But I'd go with linoleum since you already have it. If the play pen is the multi colored play pen from the pet store they are shorter than the cubes and you'd probably want two sets I believe in order to make it big enough for them to run around, because the space they make is quite small. |

That's fine, although you should definitely buy 2. If you are thinking of the same one I'm thinking of, then it's pretty small. |

I actually have recently invested in two of the above mentioned play pens. I set them up around a wall or corner of the room to create even more space. Depending on how well trained your piggies are, you don't necessarily need to buy a "bottom". I put down newspaper under areas where my girls are likely to hang out (for example, hay racks and hideys) and they will use these areas for their buisness. However, they still often poop (but almost never pee) else where. This doesn't bother me because I don't have nice carpet and I just pick them up when they go back in the cage. If your piggies aren't potty trained, maybe set up their play area in the kitchen or other non-carpeted area. |
