Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0 Hello. Need a little advice with my cage. At present I have a 4x2 lower level and an Lshape 2x1 upper. But wanted to extend upper level and was wondering about supporting the top. At present I have a wooden pole supporting the upper level just under where the ramp attatches as I felt the top was a bit bouncy. Any suggestions |

If you look in my gallery, you'll see pics of my cage. We have a 3x5 with a 1x3+1 upper deck. What we use to support it is two grids, attached perpendicularly. It's extremely sturdy and steady, and doesn't actually take up any space to speak of-- just creates a "tunnel" under the loft. |

I've posted on another thread on how to support upper level.. http://www.guineapigcages.com/forum/...per-level.html I bought a piece of wood from Home Depot. It's 1 3/8 x 1 3/8 x 8'. I cut it to the cage length and just slide into the grid. This won't take up any running room and it does not need to be removed or lifted up while changing the fleece. |
