I really would like to know where you all keep your cages. My cages are in my spear bedroom, but I would love to have my piggies with me more. So I was thinking of moving them in to my bedroom. Do other people keep piggies in their bedrooms? Would I have any proplems? |

My daughter has the 2 boys in her room and our 2 girls are in the computer room which is right off the living room. I think the biggest worry of having them in your bedroom is allergies. If you have any, it may not be a good idea. I had a doctor who used to yell that we had our pets in our rooms. One other thing to consider is that as soon as it gets light and my daughter makes a movement the piggies are ready to play and wheeking away at her to get up and let them out for playtime and feed them. So they may cut into your sleep. |

My boys have their own room...but...its been too cold in there for them, so they've been crashing in the living room. They seem to really like it, the only this though is that their cage in living room is much smaller than their normal cage, its still plenty though, its 16 sq ft. |

I only have a small little apartment that I share with my boyfriend and 2 year old son and we keep them in the kitchen! The ylive in a big double decker pen. All the other rooms are too small or already filled up with furniture so we put them there. They actually love it there, they get to see everyone who goes through and chats with them and they know when your making their food up (they go nuts when they we someone getting anything out of the fridge!) |

When I'm at school my pig stays in the living room. When I bring her home with me for school vacations she stays in my room. |

My 6 pigs live in a heated shed in the garden. It was bought for them years ago but now I've realised they shouldn't be out there, they should be closer to me. They are coming into my room sometime in 2009. As with problems having them there... I have had piggies in my room before and they keep me awake when they chew the spout of the water bottle. For this reason, at night only I am going to replace the bottles with heavy bowls with water in. |

My piggies are in my room! They suprisingly do not keep me awake at night. It is so cute because when my alarm goes off and I turn on the light they know it's veggie time so they get very excited and loud! haha. |

Both of my boys are in the living room right where I have to walk by them all the time so I can talk to them and pet them |

They will be in the school room when I adopt them. Don't worry it's not for school purposes, the school room is the only room in the house where we have room, besides we only put our school stuff in there (the only things in there are a desk, a file cabinet, and another desk, as well as a couch which we are getting rid of) we don't even do school in there, but we go in there a lot. |

We have two males, but three cages. During the day, they are in a 2-story C&C cage in my 10yo's room. It's 4x2 on bottom and 1x2 on top. Their food and water is in the top portion. They can't be in the room at night though, because the noises wake up my daughter. That's the only room we can keep a large cage in that's safe from our golden retriever. At night they are in a smaller cage in the bathroom that's about 1x3. They also have an outdoor cage that's 3x5. They love to be outdoors. The cage is large enough that my girls can get in there with them (one at a time). If my girls just want to be near the cage rather than inside it, I cover it with hardware cloth. When the weather is nice, I try to make sure my girls have the guinea pigs outside for at least an hour each day. |

My piggy is in my room. She's not too loud, except she doesn't quite understand the meaning of "bed time" yet. :P |

My piggies stay in the living room, and I'm pretty sure Gertrude (My oldest sow) has come to enjoy watching TV. I swear she seems to always lay down facing it when its on. Although it may just be all the colors and movement that gets her attention. |

Our girls are on a table in the living room. I like to relax on the couch in the evenings and watch them jump and run crazy circles around their cage. They were frightened of all the noise and motion at first, but now they just stare at us or come sniff when we walk by. |
