I have two large male guineapigs and im just in the process of finishing their new C&C cage. Now my problem is I need to create a very sturdy lramp that they will be willing to walk up (one is confident but the other is very skittish) to get to to their upstairs house. I have searched the picture archives and have seen lots of ideas but does anyone have any solid advice on getting big pigs upstairs? tia |

I always liked the idea of a vinyl gutter with something on the bottom for traction. You can have one solid peice for the length of the ramp, so it's stronger. Another one that I really like is HabiTrail, if you can find it large enough. My guess is, that if they're "full figured" boys, that they eat lots, like mine do. A treat trail up the ramp or, if that fails, start them at the top with a treat trail down. If the ramp doesn't wiggle, they will probably use it sooner. |
