Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0 I want to make a new cage that is partly concrete so it can wear down their nails. Is it OK to have them playing on concrete 24-7? They will still have access to their soft, carefresh-lined, hutch-like cage. |

In my opinion, you'd be wasting your time. The concrete won't wear down their nails like you think it might. You will need to do nail cuttings. Also all the urine and pee on the concrete could get nasty and would be a pain to clean up. You can put a concrete tile or something in the cage if you'd like. I often use a 12"x12" concrete tile in the cage during the summer to help keep the girls cooler. |

Yes bricks work too but the tiles (concrete, terra cotta or stone) work well too. |
