Re: Organize-it cubes from Target...

I noticed that, too, when I went to get my first box of grids last week. They had one box of the good kind in black and the rest were the new, wide-spaced ones. The packaging actually is different - the new style shows wider spacing and the connectors are shiny. It also looks distinctly 'blue,' whereas the good box of black is not shiny and is very 'red.'

When we went back to get more yesterday, the only ones we found that still had the right spacing were the chrome ones, but for $5 more. Argh! We ate the cost, but that is so unfortunate. Oh well, I had enough to buy my cage, and the chrome had matching black connectors.

Re: Organize-it cubes from Target...

Yeah, after hitting 2 more Target stores and only finding 1 more box of the right white cubes, I noticed that if I would have started with black, blue, or chrome I would have had PLENTY of boxes to choose from. I'm rather picky, so I want all white. I need one more box, but I don't know if I'll be able to find one. Well, what I really need is something to use as "fencing" along the shelves in the cage so the bunnies don't accidentally hop off. Any suggestions? I still need 2 sheets of Coroplast, too. Gee, I hope 2 sheets will do it! The cost is running up quickly. I promised my husband that garage sale to pay for getting all set up for bunnies and I've spent quite a bit, but haven't had the sale. I'm hoping we bring home bunnies either Friday or Saturday this week. And to add to the already overly busy agenda, we have an exchange student coming on Tuesday evening next week. Whew!

Re: Organize-it cubes from Target...

For the record, some people over on GL have started to write letters to Target linking them to this site. This is how we figured it. Target probably saw an increase in sales of their grids. They decided to try to cut costs by making the openings bigger. They probably do not realize that by doing this, sales will go down. By writing to them, you will be letting them know you will not be buying grids from them in the future, along with many other people.

I know this hurts the rescue because we build cages for adopters.
