Cage Size O.K.

I have had a 3X4 with a 2X2 loft C&C cage for about 7 months and my pigs have been fine up until a week ago. I noticed they were nipping each others butts and chattering their teeth an unusual amount. They have 2 food bowls, 2 water bottles, and 2 pigloos. They have all the hay and veggies they need and I'm not sure what the problem is.

Boars or sows? How old are they?

Boars and one is approximately 2 and 1/2 years from what the rescue told me and the other is 10 months.

Frank, I noticed that the pigloos are both in a close-quarters situation. Have you tried moving them out into the larger area so they can have more "space"? If they really like the pigloos, maybe they just need more private "private time". Or maybe the younger one is at the obnoxious "teenage" age. Hope that they sort it out so that you can have some peace of mind.

My female pigs do the same thing. I'm not sure but it mite be a dominant thing.
