I'm traveling with the pigs... So I'm going on vacation and have to bring my 4 pigs with me. I'm not sure what would be a good cage for them on the way up there. I've done them in a plastic tub before (just for the car ride) with no lid and holes in the sides but i didn't really like this. Any quick ideas? I would prefer to be able to pick up this up without it falling apart (with help of course). Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: I'm traveling with the pigs... Would plastic, hard sided carriers work while in the car? This is the safest way I can think of, with no lid there is the danger of pigs flying out if the car stopped suddenly/tub was bumped. You could use a collapsable cage for when you are at your destination.

Re: I'm traveling with the pigs... In the car you could use plastic cat carriers maybe 2, with 2 pigs in each, and then when you get to your destination you could use zip-tied grids, a large plastic bag(like a "contractor" 55gal trash bag, its what I use one bag is perfect size for a 2x4 in grids), and fleece & underbedding. Or maybe you could make something out of grids that are tied together?

Re: I'm traveling with the pigs... I use a large laundry basket with fleece and mattress pads in it. I also use extra fleece to cover the top some to keep the sun off them. The holes are small enough to keep them in and provide more ventilation that a plastic tub. I also hang towels or something over the sides to keep the poo in.
