| Suggestions for making a ramp Hi! I am brand new to the site. I am going to make my first C&C cage when I get home from work tonight. My daughter (10 years) and I are so excited! We would like to add a small second level and am looking for suggestions and ideas on making a ramp. I was told that guinea pigs really don't climb much. Will they use a ramp to climb to another level? I have seen a lot of great cages on this site with second levels so I am assuming that they will, but wanted to throw the question out there anyway. Also, we started to try to litter box train our little Cinnamon. Her current cage is definitely too small and the litter box takes up too much room so we took it out. We put some of her "waste" in it to try to encourage her to use it, but we really weren't successful. Have any of you had any luck with litter training? And if so do you have a "tricks" that have worked for you? Thank you! Christine |

| Re: Suggestions for making a ramp I thinks it depends on the pigs. My older one never want to use even a small ramp, like 7" high. My other three babies, also don't like ramps, but they like to jump. They just jump to a flat middle level and jump again to the next level. Each jump is 7" high. So I ended up removing all the pretty and nice wooden ramps that I made. Well, it was good thing because ramps take up huge amount of floor space. |
