Cable ties

I'm getting the rest for my cage tomorrow and was wondering what to do about the second floor since I am going to use these : http://www.guineapigcages.com/photos...php/photo/5795

for extra supprt and then cable ties - lots of them! Things is my uncle is not coming round tomorrow when I want to get most of the cage done, so does everyone think it will be okay with just cable ties for the time being (would only be a week at the most)? If so how many should I put across each gap? and should I use connectors along with cable ties or just cable ties? I've just read the story about someones second part falling down and this has panicked me slightly!
