Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0 I, Sadly do not have a Cavy yet, however I am getting ready to bring one home! I have bought books and done research to try and make sure I can take not only proper but excelent care of my future baby ^^. I have seen many cages with second stories but, have also heard/read that since they are naturally land animals cavies don't like the height. Should I use a 2nd story? I want to provide as much room as possible over the minimum but don't want to frighten a poor cavy in the process! Any help will be appreciated! |

I have a 3 story cage and my girls love it. They will play "racetrack" running from the first up to the third and back again. Steven |

Yup - can vouch for piggies who love heights (in the way of a second level!) Search for 'ramps' and 'second levels' - and check out the galleries for loads of great ideas! This is a far better resource than books for the best info for your new guinea pigs - stick around, and welcome! |

Thank you for your help, I just finished designing my cage and am ready to build it. So much better (and more exciting) than a store bought cage! |
