Coroplast question. [FONT=Comic Sans MS]We have no where around us that sells coroplast, and i was wondering, does anyone know of any alternatives? I would love to know. Thanks. Last edited by Percy's Mom : 06-20-06 at 09:30 pm. Reason: changing font back to black

Re: Coroplast question. Linolium is a common substitute. You can get a remnant piece, or use sticky tiles on a piece of plywood. I would thing the remant would be easier to manage. Chances are, you can find a coroplast source if you look hard enough. Most Home Depots carry it in the same section as sheets of plexiglass and such stuff. There are some other PA members here, they may have a few ideas. Another temporary alternative you can use is cardboard with a shower curtain or tarp over it. May not be as pretty, but it can buy you some time in hunting down the coroplast! Let sign shops know you want it for a guinea pig cage, they are more likely to sell it to you if they don't think you are competition!

Re: Coroplast question. Check your phone book for sign shops. I found a guy that has a sign shop out of his garage and got a great deal.

Re: Coroplast question. If you have gas stations convinience stores, etc. You can ask them for the old signs, and they usually give it to you for free.

Re: Coroplast question. The campaign signs for the board of education and stuff like that will work too. And you won't get in trouble for picking them up before you say anything about it . Most of those signs are illegal. If they are on a state owned right of way they are illegal so all the ones on the side of the road are fair game.

Re: Coroplast question. I have also used cardboard covered with a shower curtain. It worked pretty well, but it was only for a small 2X2 loft in the larger cage. In my current cage, I am using linoleum and coroplast, which I found at a sign shop.
